A New Year – 2018

I’m excited to enter into a New Year! 2017 has been filled with enough transition to fill a lifetime and I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.  What I love most about this time of year is the renewed sense of purpose, the idea of re-calibrating and refocusing on OURSELVES.  It’s the one time of year that it’s all about what YOU are going to do – whether new, or differently, or continue developing in the coming year!

I met with the Peacocks last night and we talked about goals for the coming year. It’s fun to check in and see where everyone is at in their journey. This group in particular has been getting together since 2014 and we’ve been through a lot together. We follow the “real talk” motto and have literally seen one another through real life stuff —  both personal and professional — and it was fun to see the difference a year can make in someones life – let alone the group as a whole.

I’m looking forward to “un-goaling” myself in 2018.   I am looking forward to a blissful year full of just ‘Letting It Be’.  I started a new chapter this year in my book of life and I want to see where this next year takes me.   I feel like this year has been the introductory page and I’m hooked. I need to see where this story goes!

I have no idea what’s next and I’m enjoying that feeling. I have lived in a place of constant “more”… I needed to do more, be more, learn more, and I just was never content with where I was at.  This year, I have put a halt to thinking forward.

I’m enjoying the small stuff – the day to day moments, the continued self exploration and continuing to build on my love of self.

What are your plans for 2018?
